New events and it's up to you?!

Ok let's say Nintendo was looking for new ideas for new events in the game and they'll ask the gamers for new ideas.

What kind of event do you really like to see in New Horizons? It may be something from an old Animal Crossing game, a day we celebrate in the real world but not in the game, a special (made up) day like last weekend's "international cat day" where maybe cat villagers get some special lines or gifts in the game, an event like the lhgbtq-prides where your villagers dress up and walk with rainbow colored items. Or maybe just use your imagination, think of something completely new and share your awesome ideas here!

Not exactly a new event but I wish they would redo Bunny Day with actual rabbit items instead of eggs? It should have been called Egg day lol. All I wanted was some fabulous bunny decor.

Also a harvest festival would be great in the fall or spring, if they add the vegetables. Everybody wears flowers crowns, we have yummy new food, stalls selling fruit, a big fire with music and all your villagers gathered, KK Slider could be around.

Maybe a music festival would be nice as well, with exclusive KK songs, and your villagers would sing and play more instruments on that day. The peppys would be all excited for the opportunity to show their talents. It would be nice if KK could be walking around your island and decided to sit down and play wherever, and some villagers would sit with him here or there

hinamatsuri but i'm sure they'll have items for it in march since they had children's day stuff.

childrens day but you catch paper fish and hang them in the plaza

Island State Fair with ten random visiting villagers in attendance on your island for the day

Would be nice if you could also invite just 1 of the 10 to stay and "kick" someone else from your island just like the campsite

i would actually absolutely love the idea of planning little day or two special events with isabelle?

would give her a function other than annoying me (sorry lol) every morning. like there's a range of maybe 20 festivals to choose from and you get to decide when they happen. maybe there's a limit of 2-3 every month. MAYBE like pocket camp, you could designate a helper villager to help lead the festival too !

for fun festival ideas - i would love:
- photography competition or arts and crafts (with a rotating section in the museum to display the winners!)
- archeology (as a way to introduce ores back into the game!)
- music/performance competitions
- diving/swimming where the villagers dive/swim too
- field day with games like chase, relay races and hide and go seek!
- spring cleaning (let us BUY items from our villagers houses again jfc)
- happy home designer special (outdoor remodelling of villager houses!)
- etc etc

I would love some events that celebrate different cultures & religions as well as history in the world; of course, I realize that the game probably won’t be able to cover all of them and am unsure myself how they could implement an event dedicated to that aside from giving us more different furniture and different from what Gulliver gives us already.

For a day to commemorate history, maybe a scavenger hunt or treasure hunt to find pieces of pages missing from books, or books (and the pages can be kept and displayed like lost items ad well), and every so many you turn in, you get something like a book monument (there is one in Gettysburg at that would be neat to have at the game), special type of bookcase, museum display cases, diys to make various types of interactable books, etc.

Thanksgiving or days in other cultures that deal with a lot of food, give us a cook off event where you need to gather up a ton of different ingredients and combine them to make as many different dishes (each combination resulting in something different or possibly a failure) to redeem for all food related furniture/diys/consumables (that can be displayed as furniture and not rot).

I might have more ideas, but I’ll stop here for now and post again later.

(Even the original in AC and CF, despite having to run all over the place to look for him.) Maybe the month/event could be used to introduce those veggies and a new cooking mechanic where you can make meals that will give you more than 1 point of stamina per consumption.

I sadly never experienced Harvest Festival so yeah, that would definitely would be great along with some changes to it for the players that have done it in NL. Definitely hoping for those veggies and cooking at some point!

I'd like Tet/Chinese New Year and maybe Tortimer could show up to give goodies. Redd could sell the firecrackers maybe able's could have some cute dragon costumes. Nook's could sell red envelopes to give to your villagers and maybe they give you special chinese zodiac furniture items in return.
