New Animal crossing soon?

Does anyone know if we will have a brand new nintendo 3ds animal crossing game coming out? i know we just got amiibo but wasnt sure if anyone knows a brand new one with more and different things?

If there is another animal crossing, it is unlikely that it will be on the 3ds. Maybe on the switch. I haven't heard anything though, but I remain hopeful!

like kitanii said i don't think they're due to release another game for the 3ds - especially with the release of HHD and the update for original ac:nl. if anything it's looking like there will be a release for the nintendo switch when it comes out.

however, i do know there is a mobile game to be released before the end of march this year.

Like kitanii said, it most likely won't be on the 3ds, as there's already an animal crossing game for the 3ds. There will probably be on on the Switch, but don't take my word for it. c:

Highly doubt there will be one on the 3DS considering how new Happy Home Designer and Welcome amiibo are. By the time we get a new main-series Animal Crossing game, the Switch would already be out and it will definitely be on the Switch. In the meantime, there's going to be a free-to-start mobile spin-off (even if it plays like the main games, it's still a spin-off).

I know I might sound stupid and behind but what switch? i know theres a new console coming but is it a new handheld one? i havent heard any news and pretty much stopped looking after august cause of rumors.

This is going to sound silly, but I almost hope that they don't come out with an AC game for the switch right as it comes out, or a new AC game for a while. I want the online community for AC:NL to stay big and active for a while, and I'm not sure how long the game's life will be once they come out with the Switch/an AC game for that (assuming that happens, which I imagine it will).

I love my 3DS and don't want people to abandon it, lol. ;-;

But I'd love to see features from HH in a new AC game, whenever that does happen.

Nah, it'll be a couple years after the Switch's release that we'll see an Animal Crossing title for it. Just look at the previous trends.

Yeah I feel the same, but Belltree will never die. Unfortunately, I'll just have to save up to get the new AC once it comes out, because I know NL will not be as active once a new title comes. History will repeat itself, although I will still play NL.

Hopefully it retains its wifi/server capabilities and that that doesn't poof like with WW, tho :x

I suppose you guys are right with the community/timeline, though.
