Negative Experiences?

Has anybody ever had a negative experience on this forum? Like
trading with someone and then they rip you off or start chopping down trees?
I have had all good experiences but Im sure someone has had a bad experience before, i don't know I'm
just curious.

I've never had a bad experience but I also never let people just run around my town so yeah. If a person has a good wifi rating though and a lot of feedback and have been around the forum for a while it's super super unlikely they will scam you or do anything to your town

No, not really. So far people have been very nice!
I did hear of a bad case once, I can't remember what it was exactly.

I wonder what can you do against those kind of ppl? I never invited anyone to my town and im not playing for a long time. Can you just cut the connection or something like this when they go rampage your town?

You can cut the connection and post a negative review here hoping that other people would avoid them.

I've had someone get annoyed at me for asking them to come collect an item I was giving to them for FREE(it was a Japanese dlc as well). They came, didn't say a thing and left without even leaving me a rating. That pissed me right off >.<

Thankfully, I've never had a bad experience on this forum. I simply won't trade with anyone who has more than one negative review (sometimes people get left negative reviews due to a misunderstanding, so I can look past that kind of stuff).

The Reddit ACNL community now has a rating system as well, plus they also have a really up-to-date banned mayors list, so I often crosscheck from there as well. Every bad ACNL experience I've ever had has been with tumblr, and on that note, almost every tumblr ACNL experience I've had has been a bad one! Thankfully I'm pretty good with flipping the Wi-Fi switch, so no one's scammed me successfully.

I definitely consider this the safest ACNL website to trade/interact on. I've seen minimal bad experiences here compared to other sites.

I've actually had a bad experience here, but just once. There was this user on TBT, and her town was called "Splashko". We knew each other through a trade, and I didn't delete her FC. After a while when I opened my gates, she came. She told me she wanted to be bffs. I'm usually pretty picky about who my bffs are, but I did know her a bit, so I said yes and we became bffs. Long story short...she came into my town one day and totally stabbed me in the back by stealing my hybrids and some of my regular flowers on the beach...and I'm just like, SERIOUSLY? I deleted her afterwards, from my bff and friend list. I posted a thread about it, but it was quite a while ago. It was titled THIEF! People, stop stealing.

I haven't really, no. Except a couple people coming to my town uninvited, but they didn't steal or anything and I just deleted them afterwords.

no. but on tumblr i've had annoying times trying to trade with people, but i've never really been scammed or gotten stuff stolen.

I've never had any experiences like that.

I've had some annoying ones like people not following the rules of their own threads. I've had people who were getting villagers from me or who I was getting villagers from disappear at the last minute and never say anything again, which is pretty inconvenient. I once got someone who wanted to adopt a villager from me, so we PM'd back and forth (I usually like to make clear things like how much time I have and my time zone), and when I wasn't online they sent me a really rude and entitled message.

For the most part, my experiences trading with other users have been really positive. There have been people who randomly decided to give me bells/TBT because of minor things like forgetting something in a trade or being patient and helpful with my wifi issues.

If you check people's wifi feedback, that might help. If you have a bad experience with someone cutting down trees or stealing items, give them feedback. It also helps if you make the rules of your town clear, so that people can't say they didn't know.

I've had very similar issues with people being crabby when I am the one helping THEM. And they leave me no wifi feedback but I've left them positive wifi feedback - at least a dozen wifi feedbacks not left. But all of my current wifi is 100% positive because I truly want to help people.

You can either flip the wifi switch or turn off your 3DS. If you feel like anything fishy happened, it's better to be safe than sorry and just cut the connection. Even if they didn't do anything, you can just reconnect with each other.

I've never been scammed or anything like that, but someone on here was super flaky to trade with >:c They had a shop and I offered them some TBT for a set and they replied, and I was like,"Great, can you trade now?" and they didn't respond for three days, even though it clearly indicated they were online and doing other things. I sent them VMs and stuff, too. It was like this every single time I tried to contact them.

ya, when i was selling one of my villagers. the players just came and ran on her own towards the villager's house. like what the hell?

Everyone on here has been great. The worse that has happened is this girl was selling me a few items for close to 800 tbt. She said she was getting them and would open her gate soon. I waited for over an hour. Finally, I went to fold some laundry. I returned about 20 minutes later.She had sent three very annoyed pm's. She was ready, and was irritated that I wasn't. I hurried over to her town, and thanked her, but she just sent me home without so much as a goodbye. It's annoying when people think you've done something wrong, but don't seem to realize what they have done.
