Need item, wallpaper and floor ideas for an explorer's room!

I want to turn my basement into an explorer's room.
Where I would collect and analyze animal and plant findings,
as well as study nature and the sky.
Here are the items I have in mind:

- Ancient statue*
- world map
- cool globe
- sea globe
- Lily Record player
- mushrooms (not the item set, the actual mushrooms)
- modern wood set
- Violet screen
- star globe
- microscope
- fossil miniatures
- tall book shelf
- typewriter
- odd clock
- Neutral painting
- 4 leaf clover book
- cup of coffee

Any other ideas would be loved!
I'm looking for more of an antique explorer style,
nothing too futuristic or science fiction.

Colors I am looking for are tones of brown, red, dark green...

It's a good idea, but I already have a museum room dedicated to them!
I might re-use a few.
I'm really more focused on nature for my explorer room.

The Weeding day set is hard to complete but it is a nice set based on plants, I'm sure you would have thought of that though, given it was yesterday (or Friday, if you're in NA)
I'm sure there are other plant items not in the set. Is there such thing as a 'Sprout Table' or am I imagining things?
You could hang up paintings. 'Flowery Painting' (Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers) may fit in or not. The colours used are quite dark so it might fit in, but may not.
You could always create paintings/diagrams too.
A mannequinn wearing the explorers outfit may work, too.

You may have more luck buying in the re-tail section. :> What about a few plants like hibiscus or maybe a messy little work desk with a cup of coffee and clover on it ( clovers will appear on an open book when set down).

EDIT: You could also collect all the mushrooms and display them on a table next to a microscope like rare mushroom, famous, flat, etc.

There are a few that would look great yes. The painting idea is also a great one!

Like I said, the main objective here is to get ideas, I just thought I'd throw in that I am looking for items as well,

Fossils! Those giant dinosaurs are awesome! Or even the little models. I want to build an explorer who has fossils or even weird fish in his room! Like an archaeologist or a scientist, Indiana Jones style. Does that count?

Yeah the miniature fossils are AWESOME!
I already have my favorite dinosaur made (triceratops), and I'm collecting pieces for a couple others.
Weird fish is a GREAT idea though!
When we are both done we can compare explorer rooms, hahaha!

Things like the vase and pot will be good =D Ancient china have the flowery vase and pot can be dig in excavation site xD will be cool to add that in! But a little...not too many of them lols~

A lot of the items from pascal could be awesome for this like the vintage telescope, fancy compass etc... there are also some regular items like pyramids and you can always make maps yourself as a clothing print and hang them on the wall.

How do I get the items from Pascal?
I have never seen him in my NL town! I remember him from WW though.
