NEED HELP! Questions about the void!

2 of my dreamies accidentally moved out. Hazel & Kid Cat.
IK you need 16 move-outs haven't been counting how many villagers have moved out from my town so I'm not sure how many more it will take to clear them out?

7 out of the 10 villagers that are currently living in my town are permanents. Questions:

• Is there a way to tell when a villager leaves the void/when I will be able to readopt Kid Cat & Hazel??
• Is there a way for me to tally up who is in the void? Or tell how many more I have to go?
• Hazel is showing up on main street. Does that mean she definitely is still in voided?
• What is the most reliable way to cycle out my unwanted villagers w/o getting rid of the ones I'm keeping? Is it the 2-days-forward, one-day-back method or is there an easier way?

1. No, the only way to tell is to go to the villager once they are in boxes. If they left, they will ask to move into your town.
2. You would have had to remember all of the villagers that moved out.
3. Yes, she is still in the void if she appears in Main Street.
