Need help from experienced time travelers~

I'm trying to get my last dreamie but I'm having 10 villagers in my town right now. I'm thinking about time traveling to get rid of a certain unwanted villager (Celia in this case).
This is my plan: Fauna just pinged me and asked to move out this morning and I said no. So I assume it would be safe to time travel 4 days ahead from now. I would then walk around town and talk to everyone to see if anyone wants to move out. If nobody wants to move out then I would time travel to the next day and repeat the talking. If Celia is the one to move out then buh-bye her. But if it's someone else then I would say no and repeat the process, starting time traveling 4 days ahead and so on. Does this sound like a good plan? I'm really impatient to get Celia out but I don't want to mess up my town :<

I had the same issue
Heres a better plan

1. Create New villager
2. Introduce said villager to everyone in town
3. Talk to every villager EXCEPT villager you want to move out
4. TT a day forward

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for 7 days, and by the 7th day, the unwanted villager will ping to move
its flawless

Hitting with nets actually doesnt effect the moving process
if anything, it makes it worse

Actually, abusing them (i.e. hitting them with net) would only make them wanna stick around *more* to 'build up better friendship with you'.

LOL. kittypurr's plan sounds cool. I may need to delete one villager to try that cuz I'm having 4 already haha.
Yea, and I believe lots of people say if you abuse a villager then it would take them longer to move out.

This. So instead of abusing them, talk to them a lot and befriend then. They'll be bugging you to move out then. Might help the TTing process.

What I normally do is this:

1. Someone pings to move out (Fauna, in my last case as well!)
2. TT five days ahead/to the moving date
3. Ensure you're on speaking terms with the villager you want to move.
4. Talk to other villagers to see who wants to move.
5. If it's the villager you want to move, TT five days ahead- they will definitely be in boxes or already moved out. If it's not the villager you want to move, repeat steps 1-4.

Another tip that I've learned over my time cycling: There are usually a few villagers who are bigger gossips on who's moving, and a few who will talk about rumors when no one is moving. For example, Fauna and Phoebe are more likely to tell me if someone is going to leave town, while Erik and Freya are more likely to talk to me about how rumors can be vicious or how rumors are going around about their water bottle collections.
