I’m so stupid! One of my villagers offered to move out naturally, one of the only two that I’m not keeping, and I planned it all like a military operation so I could go island hopping for a new villager. I have and use amiibo and honestly, it’s good but it just means that I haven’t had many chances to try to find villagers by luck and to experiment with villagers I wouldn’t have otherwise tried. So yesterday the plot was open but my joy con broke the day before and it was all a bit hectic so I didn’t start island hopping til 8pm. 1.35am and I was still looking and 40 tickets down (stopped for a spell on two scorpion islands), and I thought, you know what, I’ll save, close the game and spin my clock back to 2am when I wake up so I can keep looking. So this morning I did just that! Only I didn’t because I’m an idiot and in my head I needed to put the date to the previous day too (even though it was past midnight, so the day had already changed). So all I succeeded in doing was spoiling my turnips and getting a random move in (walker) who won’t ask to move if I’m correct so I’ll have to amiibo him out. Ugh, I’m am idiot. And it feels like I wasted those tickets because I didn’t actually find anyone, I could have just gone straight to random move in without spending any. Okay, rant over, sorry.

I'm so sorry this happened but it's okay. I had also did all of these things lmao. Once my tickets runned out and I had to pick someone I didn't want bc it was better then the rando move-in... I regret, the rando might have been better. I think Walker is actually very nice, one of my favorites dogs, maybe give him a chance!

Don't feel too bad! I've had experience with my newest moved-in villager asking to move out, so I know it's possible! Things will turn out :)

oof i feel your frustration - during one of my more recent island hoppings, i wasn’t finding anyone i wanted and so i tt’d backwards in hopes of maybe finding a new variety of villagers/maybe even increasing my luck? well, i learnt the hard way that tt’ing even just one day back will cause a random move-in ;w;

Thank you guys, I feel better now, I was just so fed but because I feel like I haven’t experimented enough with villagers and I turned down a few lazy villagers I like because I have two already and I didn’t want a third. I’ll look after Walker well and try to line a home up for him and then I‘ll probably replace him with one of my amiibo villagers. It’s one of those odd things I can’t quite explain, I think I got my dreamies way too quickly, so it meant that I didn’t experiment enough, but to be totally honest, none of them were exactly planned, I didn’t have any set idea of who I wanted so it’s more like I searched out some villagers I was curious about and then got attached to them and now I don’t want to change things too much. 😅 It really is my own fault. It’ll all work out in the long run I know :giggle:
