No idea if that'll be the case since Club Nintendo will be closing later this year and the last day to redeem codes is on March 31st. Not sure if that date applies worldwide or just in North America.

Before making the trade, I was wondering if you knew if Club Nintendo differentiates between normal codes and download version codes (for the digital copy of the game)?

Hmm, that's a good question. I don't think so, but I can't say since I only have the physical version of the game. But, if you already have a copy of ACNL registered, you can't register another one. I've tried before when my friend gave me hers since she couldn't use it. Because this IS an Animal Crossing forum, I figured this code would be the hardest to get rid of... XD

Heard back from them and they're still interested in the code, so I ended up selling it to them. Thanks for your interest though and good luck getting more codes. Definitely the hot ticket item in the Marketplace for sure these days.
