Mystery Island Tours: Time Passing

I was lucky enough to find big fish island and wanted to use the the opportunity to catch a saddled bichir. I got to the Island at 5:00pm so I waited till 9:00pm when they start appearing and yet I am still catching fish catchable at 5:00pm put not 9:00pm like the Dorado. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

Yes! But it is bad news for you. The island ‘locks in’ at the time you arrive. This is great when I want to catch bugs that stop appearing at 8 and travel to a mystery island at 7:50. But unfortunate for you! Sorry

But the dorado is a daytime fish actually, (4am-9pm) so you should be able to catch one. The spawn rate on mystery islands seems really good

Bummer, however I can still catch valuable fish so it's not a total loss. Thanks for your help!
