Mystery island duplicates?

Hi. I only joined this site to ask this question: Is anyone getting an ungodly amount of duplicates on mystery islands too? I'm saying a single villager 3 times in row followed by just a whole row of past duplicates right after. I've seen Octavian like ten times already. I haven't even seen half of the villagers yet, I've used over 400 tickets and may have only seen 150. It may just be my bad luck, but I want to know if anyone else is having this issue in case it isn't.

If I remember right, it's you have a 1 in 35 chance of seeing any species. And then, within that species, you have a 1 in however many there are of that species. So, for octopus, you have a 1 in 3 chance of seeing Octavian. (Which is lowered even more if you have one or two of them.) I have Zucker on my island, and I ended up seeing Marina a good 6 times while going to mystery islands. It's so frustrating seeing the same villager over and over again >_<
