Have any of you guys had any weird accidents with getting or giving villagers from the void?

I've only ever gotten someone's voided villager once, but it was my ultimate favorite villager so that worked out pretty well for me LOL

One of my friends is giving me a villager I really want tomorrow(SPRINKEEE  ), but she recently voided Ken, and I was wondering how at risk I am of getting him by accident, or if there's anything we can do to prevent that.

I heard before if you connect with someone with ten villagers, it clears your void, but I've heard recently that's NOT the case?

I also didn't even realize until recently that you could get void villagers just from streetpassing people. No thanks :(

I've gotten plenty of other people's voided villagers since I used to a lot of trading. xD; I always keep 10 in my main town to avoid random move-ins, and in my other towns I don't care so much.

If you're going to her town to get Sprinkle, Ken won't move since inviting Sprinkle will take priority for move-ins.

I don't know about 'clearing the void' thing but I got Del from some else's void once xD

I got Rocket in Azalea even though she had moved out ages ago for the person and like 9 other villagers had moved out since
Im super careful not to get a voided villager in the food town

I got Nan from street pass. She plopped her house right beside where I wanted marshal except ON MY flipping paths

I'd like someone to explain "clearing the void" as well. Supposedly, it requires someone with 10 villagers, but how exactly is this done and why does this work?

Okay, so the "clearing the void" thing is a thing I have seen on a couple of places where villagers are traded besides this site.
Basically, if you have one or more villagers in your void, and you connect with someone with a full town (go to their town, or they go to yours), your void is completely cleared because you could not pass a villager to them?
I've seen a couple people on this site mention in passing that that method doesn't work, but I really have no idea either way!

It can work, however, they can just take on your void pool. Which means if someone visited them, then that person can end up picking up your void.
You can pick up a void from someone else who is visiting a town you are visiting as well. :(

Oh no!!!!! Someone on tumblr accidentally had a villager move in one time and swore it was my fault, but I was like, I've never voided a villager ever! But if this is what happened, I feel really bad D:

Yeah, it has happened to Jlee on here. She was trading with someone, and someone visited she ended up getting their void.

Also, sometimes if you void someone, and visited someone with 10 villagers, your void might not be cleared. A friend did that, to clear her void. She then visited me, and I ended up getting the voided villager, it was Clay. lol

Wait, what? I never knew about this. The only thing I knew was the void is a dark and scary place. If i knew this I could've went to towns who have voided Marshal and will probably even pay bells to them.

I get voided villagers all the time in my cycle towns. Mostly from my daughters cycle town or my best friends cycle town. I usually don't mind getting them from other people but I just wish they would tell me before hand so I'm prepared for it. I like to stay at 9 villagers just in case I get a good campsite. Also, it's easier for me to cycle with 9 to I can plot reset when I get down to 8 villagers.

Two of my favourite villagers came from the void, or maybe from Wi-Fing with someone on here... I'm not sure. But I think I remember seeing them in my Happy House Showcase thing. I got Fang from a town called Westeros and Benjamin from a town called ButtButt. They both put their houses on my path but I just worked around them and got used to it I guess.

When new leaf first came out, one of my friends forgot that I wanted Cube and let him move out. I was kind of mad, but after I visited his town Cube moved in the next day and I was like, OH I GUESS THAT'S A THING THAT CAN HAPPEN.

Yesterday, my mayor from my Cycle town got a villager from a void of another town. I went to this person's town to get a Hairbow because the town is called Greenbow. Yea.. Ended up the villager she recently voided as well.

I ended up with a tenth villager. He was voided by someone who came to my town to adopt Bunnie. Before that, someone had come to their town to adopt another villager. So Cyrano must have been voided before that.

Thing is I had no idea this could happen because Bunnie was my tenth villager. If you have ten villagers and one is in boxes, you cannot invite a villager to come live in your town. But apparently you CAN end up with a voided villager, even if to me that makes no sense whatsoever. Other than probably, like others said, you can somehow end up with someone else's void. :(

That must be awful to hear him talk about his old town...

Hahah i thought it was pretty cute actually. My immature side coming out... I think it suited him lol. They both had nice town tunes too so I liked when they sang em to me. Fang's town tune was the theme song to Game of Thrones too which was super neat lol

It's funny, I had Flurry from the void from Westeros with the Game of Thrones tune. MAYBE IT WAS THE SAME PERSON, but probably not because it's so common
