It's not reading the disc or something...

I go to the game-screen (or whatever you call it), and it just shows the Wii disc and the Gamecube disc spinning. It's been like this for about 15 minutes, and it's still goin'.

What's up with this?

(BTW, I'm asking this in Brewster's cuz' It's kind of just a quick question...nothing that needs a whole lot of discussion...)

After your done playing you have to take the disc out, if you leave it in there while it's off the system won't read discs anymore....

I leave my disc in my Wii all the time...i have always left a disc sitting in the slot ever since i got my Wii a year ago, and i never have encountered this problem before.......
If you want to fix it, try flipping the CD so that it is facing different sides when being entered.

Well it usually takes a long time of leaving the disc in there for it to not work, I have a bad habit of doing that on my Gamecube and my old GC won't read because of that and my newer one that i got in 05-06 is starting to mess up.

The Wii is kind of dumb in that (I think) the disk keeps spinning even if you turn it off (so that the LED on the front is orange)
remember to hold the power button down until it turns red, that way your Wii will last longer.
When I had ACCG, I used to leave my GC idling for long periods of time on a daily basis (I was an idiot) and I that killed my GC... I dunno about your Wii though, turn it off and on? that's the first thing I'd try...
OMG ANOTHER COOKIE!!!

Uh... It's usually orange cause of the internet. If it's on, it'll be orange...

This hasn't happened to me, but I have a suggestion... You know those disc cleaners for computer drives that have a little tiny brush on them? Maybe try putting that in for a little bit. (It wouldn't need to open a file or anything, just spin.)

No idea what that would do, but you could try it.

That's true, but you can also disable that feature by holding the power button down.

If you don't plan on playing your wii for a long period of time it's best to hold the power button down until it goes red, or atleast I think so.

Mine has never been orange the power button has always been red or green and the disc area is always blue.
