My villagers are talking about a "big event", what are they talking about?

So I had unlocked K.K. Slider and terraforming today after getting a three star rating, yesterday when I found out about getting the three stars, they were talking about a big event, that event being K.K. coming to the island.

With that said, K.K. Slider came today first thing when I played, and his performance was done. But my villagers today are talking about a "big event" despite the performance and K.K. being over. What event are they referring to?

Is it the next Saturday performance or Bunny day or what are they trying to refer to? If anyone knows or just wants to reply, feel free to, my curiosity is brimming.

I didn't know there was a fish tournament! I'm excited for this one then, it's my first fishing tourney in a while

Technically, it's the first fishing tourney for most non-time travelers.

I thought it's the Fishing tourney too.
They mention Bunny Day all the time but when they refer to the "big event" they keep claiming they've no clue what it is going to be.

I think it is either the fishing tourney or Earth Day. I have no idea which one it might be. The fishing tourney is closer though so that would make the most sense.
