My town villagers

if I were you, I'd try getting a peppy in the mix unless you despise them or something. I personally couldn't see a town of mine without a peppy! also if there's a jock or an uchi you like I'd try getting them, as it seems your lacking them as well 
and then what also comes into play is who you're willing to give up! but it ultimately just matters what you think and want because it's your town, or what your happy with so if that means having 4 crankies and no peppies (as an example) or whatever then go for it

I'm not a big fan of Melba, since I don't really like the koala villagers except Alice. I have her in wild world, and still do but I just have no attachments for her. Although she has a cute catchphrase. *unpopular opinion* I don't like Beau either, not because I think he's overrated or nothing like that he just doesn't appeal to me personally. I'm just not big on his design, I know a lot of people find him cute though. Although if I had him in my town, I might just like him a little more. But for now, i'm fans of other lazies such as Joey and Papi.
Apollo's cool, I wouldn't mind having him in town. I think he's based off an American Eagle and his birthday is July 5th. I find that pretty neat if you ask me, he's awesome.
Merengue has a very nice design and she looks adorable! But I just have other normals that I prefer more such as Pekoe. I'm not a huge fan of food themed villagers I feel like they stand out too much - but she's pretty well designed so I can make an exception. Although, I wouldn't have her in town since I already have a normal.
Rasher. A few words. Looks like he came from jail. Although he has a really funny grin, I will admit I do like that about his design. His cheesy grin is quite cool especially if you're doing a ceremony he just looks so happy to be there and it's funny to me. Although I wouldn't have him in town, his whole design is just not for me. Although I like the cheesy grin he's scary to me other than that.
Jacques great design, but a really annoying villager. Followed me to (almost) every town i've ever made. Couldn't stand him because of that, and I still can't. I don't admire villagers that follow you from town to town like a stalker, it's creepy and annoying. O_O He has one of my favourite personalities, but I just don't like it on him.
Ankha is great! one of the nicest snooties i've met in game. She's not too mean, but she's not too nice either. She's just the right mix and I love how sassy she can be. Unfortunately I won't be keeping her in town though as i'm giving her to my sister. She is a nice snooty to have though, but I do have snooties that I prefer over her like Portia and Bree.
Freya is meh to me, I don't mind her but I don't think i'd want her in town either. I don't like any of the penguins no matter how well designed they are, I just don't like them. If she happened to move into town I don't think it'd be too big of a deal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to become friends with her. I'd probably move her out if she asked, if i'm honest.
Marshal is a sweetheart and I love him, he's such a kind member of my town it's hard not to like him. Yes, he gets called overrated a lot but I honestly don't like him for his popularity. He's one of the only smugs I would want in my town - him and Julian. There's just something about him that appeals to me and I enjoy having him around.
Julian is also kind, I imagine he's like one of those faraway princes that are always deep in thought, or always have something philosophical to say. He's not over the top with flirting like some smugs and I admire that about him. He's very subtle and friendly.
