So for those of you from TBT 1.0, you may have seen the thread where I talked about my teacher who had a brain tumor. Well, it turns out it was cancer, and over spring break she passed away. She lived to be 50 years old, and she was one hell of a woman. She was never afraid to speak her mind. She was funny, and had an amazing personality. She was a french teacher, but she spoke many of languages and was the best teacher I ever had. I only took french in 5th grade, but she was my advisor too. In her final days, she still recalled every student she taught (and didn't teach too, she knew every kid in the building), and she taught for 23 years. Unfortunately, I had a sonnet that I wrote about her, that I meant to send to her, but I never did. Today in our school we had a simple little ceremony to honor her, and the school is thinking about planting a tree in her honor. She'll be missed, RIP Ms. Ellis.

I guess there's not much to discuss, but I guess if you've ever gone through something similar, or are going through something now, feel free to share.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. D: It's sad that such a lovely person died so young. But I suppose the bright side is that she touched the lives of so many students, which most people never get to do in a whole lifetime. :c

Oh my god, sorry to hear that.
I remember the thread back on 1.0.

Wish her family the best.

That's horrible, cancer is a terrible thing.

It's touching that she remembered all of her student's names. Shows that she had a very fulfilling life, doing the thing that she wanted to do more than anything, a lot of people can't say they've done that.

The worst thing that could happen now is MrMudkip coming in and making fun of cancer.

Thanks guys. One of the worst parts is she had a daughter who's a sophomore. She doesn't have a dad, so I'm not so sure what she's doing now. She might be with her aunt. It hasn't really hit her yet, and I feel so bad for her.

Gee, my old teacher died a couple months ago as well. I'm sorry such a great french teacher has died.

My Teacher Mr. Tice died only into the second term of 7th grade. I didn't know him that well but I asumed he was very nice. Although, my Sister knew him very well. Without him, my Sister would have never been able to catch up with all of the assignments that she was missing and she would have never graduated. R.I.P. Mr. Tice.

I will always miss her. She was such a wonderful person and the best teacher I ever had. I'm sorry I couldn't be there.

Thank you everyone, and I'm sorry for your losses too. We lose a lot of wonderful people in our life time unfortunately.

That's terrible :( Makes the situation a lot worse.

She sounded like a nice person, and i hope she rests in peace.
