My poor Beau has been out on a snack run for days

I am growing very concerned that my poor baby will never return has this happened to anyone else? I’ve looked around my island like a madman and all I can do is despair react

I swear sometimes the villagers do straight-up disappear.

One evening Cheri asked me to get a fish for her, I went and got it, and I could never find her, not in her house. Not in other villagers' houses. Not in the shops (I think only Nook's was open at this point) and not in the Museum. She was straight-up missing. So I couldn't ever deliver the fish to her. =/

If you're extra nervous I would recommend saving and reloading your game. Most likely he just out for a walk (or in a shop, or in the museum).

Back when the villager glitches were a thing I was afraid one of my villages was going to glitch, so I kept checking on them. I would panic a bit when they weren't home and on a few occasions I couldn't find them. But after loading the file a few times eventually they would be in their house or somewhere I could find them.

Just try reloading your game. I've also had Beau go missing for a while and that usually does the trick.

raymond is so good at playing hide. he just straight up disappear. I was looking for him these days and he was nowhere to be found, I looked museum, shops, other villagers house, I wanted to give him the jester hat I bought - well I guess I cant blame him tho lol

Try reloading, like other people have said, but also try looking behind trees. I also have Beau and I've found him sitting with his back against the tree and on the side I can't really see.

Ohhh no he's probably just hiding somewhere, and I agree on reloading your game if you really can't find him anywhere

Yep. Reloading saves a lot of time rather than searching for them. I really miss the megaphone.

Probably the museum, I swear he's always in the bug exhibit whenever I'm looking for him lol

if you truly still can't, save and exit. reloading the game will respawn villagers somewhere else.

Always check the museum if they're not in shops or on the island. If not the museum, check your villagers homes. Sometimes they are visiting other villagers.

If all else false, save and quit. When you reload the game, villagers will respawn in different spots.

It can be hard to find them at times because they can be at another villager's house, the museum or the shops but since I load my game up several times each day, I usually end up finding them eventually.

Lazy Villagers are super weird, man. Yesterday, my Stitches legitimately spent two whole hours just staring at a cliff like that guy at the end of the Blair Witch Project. I swear, I saw him there at around 9:30 and he was still there when I checked back around 11:30.

That happens to me a few or alot of times that I save and exit and reload the game, wish they added a feature though like the megaphone to call the villager and see where they are.
