So after toying with the idea of having a second cranky, I've decided that I love Hornsby too much to let him go, so I now have two Lazy villagers in my town.

The only thing is, I can't say I'm a fan of their dialogue: mainly of the 'bugs'

Where is all of this bug talk from? Does it bother anyone else?

(I should say that it doesn't actively 'bother' me, it's just baffling that I keep hearing them talk about bugs! They talk about them more than food!)

It's not my favorite since I'm terrified of bugs lol, but the lazies in this game just remind me of little kids and I love it. Sherb's my favorite right now and I love how sweet he is about wanting to take care of his little friends

I'd say Lazy isn't my favorite anymore due to the talk of bugs. Bugs disgust me IRL, so it's sickening the way they talk about living with bugs

Yeah they talk about bugs way too much. I guess it's meant to show that they can't be bothered to clean but I find it kind of off-putting.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have gotten Clay as my starter lazy. The generic lazy house actually fits his aesthetic, and because of that the "bugs" dialogue makes sense coming from him. I don't know how I would've felt about a cutie like Sherb or Filbert in that sad dirt floor house talking about bugs. It'd be weird.

edit: I also don't like the talk about food stains all over everything. Reminds me of my brother and he is disgusting to pick up after. Can't be in his room for more than like a minute. Gross. That still gets in the way with lazies for me even putting the bugs aside.

It's different for sure but I'm not bothered by it because I used to be a "bug" girl when I was younger. So I can level with them some.

Also it's fascinating when you catch them in the museum looking at the bugs; it's a bit endearing when they humanise the critters.

i'm not bothered by the fact its bugs per say but they rlly talk abt them way too much fr . also becomes hilariously bizarre when u have doc n raddle bc raddles house is a clinic n docs is a very neat study like wht r either of u talking abt i cant take it

It almost makes them sound dirty, like not just lazy in terms of physical activity but also in hygiene. Like they're too lazy to vacuum up crumbs and so they have bugs. I wouldn't say it's my favorite personality "trait" but I guess I get it?

I usually have 2 lazy villagers but I think the one is just enough for me. I can handle Sherb and his bug issues but I don't think I could bring in Beau like I originally planned or it'd be way too much. Lazy dialogue is the weakest of all the personalitites in this game imo.

I haven't heard my lazy talk about bugs much this time. So, it isn't bothering me too much. I mean, it is a little weird when they break out the "bugs whispered this in my ear" talk. But, I mostly just ignore it. After all, I'm a little strange so my villagers can be a little strange too.

All they had to do was add 1 or 2 dialogues to their in-home dialogue pool to hint towards the fact they have bugs in their house, but dang it, they went full on talk of bugs this and bugs that.

I can tolerate the bug talk. The whole “grandma’s boy” shtick is too much for me though. Lazies are turning more and more into babies lol.

Yeah, it would be tolerable if that wasn't seemingly the only thing they want to talk about.

Agreed here too. They're too childish this go-around. It makes me feel like they're still kids as opposed to grown-ass animals with their own houses lol

I dont mind it but I feel like it's too much. Every once in a while would be funny but even with only two lazies I feel like it's super repetitive.

I don't really mind it! Maybe because my lazy is Beau and his actual floor is literally grass so it's believable there are bugs living in there, lol

Yup I'm not a fan of lazy dialogue either, thankfully none of the villagers I really want for my island are lazy besides Hornsby, and even he was hard to put up with at first lol. Like, the first time I heard them say something about bugs living in the walls/floors I thought it was dumb but I was like ok but then they just... keep... talking about them. It's like central to the lazy personality and it's just strange and not cute/funny.
