When you have items to sell, whether that's extra fish, bugs, items, DIYs, materials, etc, where do you prefer to sell? I'd say I use the drop-off box like 99% of the time, and the only time I actually sell to Timmy and Tommy is when I want to check the store for something. I know the drop-off box takes 20% off of the value for any item, but I can't say I really care, and I can't be bothered with the loading screens to sell inside the store. Call me lazy because that's what it is lol.
This curiosity honestly stemmed from a talk with a friend a while back since we somehow got to talking about our Nook phone's ringing at the start of a new day. She was saying something about how that rarely happens to her so it surprised her when it happened, meanwhile I'm so used to it since I get in on a daily basis.
It depends. If I’m just selling a couple of random things, or I’m digging up a load of flowers, I can’t be bothered to go inside and I’ll just put it in the drop off box. Honestly the phone calls at the start of the new day annoy me so much it’s kind of easier to just go inside
I use that box so little that I even forget that exist, most of the time I wait for the store to open (sometimes even just drop stuff in front to remember to sell it later lol)
I use both! If it's higher value items I'll sell to Timmy and Tommy directly. However, if I'm digging up excess flowers I use the Pipe to transfer to the Drop-Off Box as I usually dig them up early morning.
Most of the time I sell directly to Timmy and Tommy . Mostly because I tend to play when they are open. Usually it’s for things like flowers that don’t sell for much. The few times I have used the box I end up forgetting that I did. Then get confused when they call the next day.
I always just sell to Timmy and Tommy these days. Very early into the game I did sell a few things at the drop-off box, but I'd rather just get full value for anything I end up selling, lol
If they wouldn't call me all the time the next day I would use the box more often. It should be use for convenience. And the fact that it forces us to answer the phone and goes through a minute scripted event every time you do it is so pointlessly time padded.
Pretty sure I usually just sell directly to the twins, because I don't remember too many pestering calls. I'd rather keep the extra 20% - I think the early days of the game when I was scavenging for creatures in the middle of the night to get my bells up, I did use the drop off box.
To Timmy and Tommy if I want to sell something with a big value.
To the Drop-off box if the store closed and I'm impatient or I just don't feel like going inside.
But now, my Drop-off box is blocked off by a furniture piece that I plan on keeping forever as it makes the citycore theming of my island look better.
Depends on the time. If I am playing in the day, normally Timmy & Tommy since they're open. And I think the box gives a little less than the baby raccoons? Could be wrong.
But normally I play at night, and they are already closed, even when I put the thing to keep them open longer.
I kind of forgot the Drop-Off Box exists LOL
I only sell directly to Timmy and Tommy as I just always want full value for everything.. and I can't be bothered with checking whatever they're accepting a premium selling price on in the box. If I have excess things that are worth very little I'll just throw things away in a bin (I have one set up near my pipe from my house.)
I only sell at the shop because I hate when the nooks call me at the start of the day. I already have to listen to Isabelle every time I open the game I can't listen to them too. Just let me play dangit!
I basically always sell directly to Timmy and Tommy because I want to make as many Bells as possible. That said, sometimes I'm playing in the early morning hours in-game when the store isn't open and I'll need to get rid of some stuff, like excess flowers or weeds or something. In such a scenario, I'll just throw things into the drop-off box.
I use timmy/tommy 99% of the time. The only time I use the drop box is when I don't have a trashcan close by and I'm just throwing low value stuff in after hours.
