I agree, I honestly don't understand it either. But Cube on the other hand, he was my favorite villager back in Wild World, and I had Aurora too. I thought that they were perfect together. <3

Cube is actually my #1 favorite too, but I dunno, I think Beau is really cute. He's got a cute face/snout, and I like that he's orange. I think his house is cute. His lazy personality adds to his charm, too.
Just because a lot of people like him doesn't mean that you have to like him or even see/understand why he appeals to other people. But you should definitely always be respectful of other people liking him.

2. Like Marshal (I'm assuming) he's easily the favorite out of that villager personality type, since many ppl want at least 1 personality type in their town.

Edit: Meh kinda cute I guess. The x for eyes is offputting tho which is also my complaint with stitches.
It's odd that I'm not a huge fan with penguins in these games as they are easily one of my favorite animals irl. Oh well

Beau is one of the only deer I'd actually like to live in my town. I think his house is nice and he has that lazy authentic look with his eyes half open.
