I'm so upset that I kind of refuse to play the game again because I did so much to get where I am, I had stitches and gotten all the fruit - I have bad internet.

Has anyone have anything that turned them off of playing the game?

oh no! i’m really sorry to hear this. while it’s nowhere near as bad as your situation, having my favourite villager of all time (beau) move out after i hadn’t played for a week due to a depressive funk definitely turned me off from playing for quite some time. 🥴

I was turned off from playing when my item and mail storage got out of hand. But also having to worry about villagers moving is stressful and checking on them for that every single time feels like a chore. So that also turned me off from playing.

This didn't happen to me with animal crossing, but it did happen with other games.. like kingdom hearts and valkyria chronicles. Man. I didn't play valkyria again until around 3 years later when I decided it was worth the effort again (Great game btw). My kingdom hearts, I was on the very last trip and boss, very close to finishing when my disk stopped reading. I was livid and upset for days afterwards, but again, around 4 years later, I came back to it and completed it in it's entirety. I'm sorry to hear about your animal crossing experience, that's harsh!

I think there's a way to fix it. Sometimes my new leaf copy crashes (not very often) so what I do is I go to the eshop then I click the welcome amiibo update. Then if you scroll down, there's an option called repair software. Then it does a quick scan for bugs. It always says nothing is wrong when I do it, but I still make it repair. And now with the software repair, it doesn't crash at all for the most part.
I don't know if this can fix corrupted data, but it's still worth a shot.
