My game is taking forever to save...

After I was doing playing today, I saved my game as normal. Instead of taking five to ten seconds to save, it's taking minutes... This has happened three different times today, and I don't know why. This has never happened to me before, at least not that I remember. Why is this happening? I'm worried something is wrong with my cartidge.

I've seen a lot of people with the same issues. One of them said it took them about 8 minutes to save their game. A solution I've seen is when it takes a long time, to flick the wireless switch off, but I would only suggest this if you absolutely have to, and make sure your gates weren't open when you saved or anything like that.

Another solution was to completely turn off your system, take out your game card (even if it's a different game) and your SD card, and let your system sit for a while. Maybe about half an hour? Then put them back in, and start your game up again. That may help too.

I was freaking out because this literally JUST happened to me!! And in all the years I've had this game it's never done this before :0 thankfully it finished saving after about 1-2mins.
