Look stamping "no harm intended" on something does not just make it ok to say.

I mean i could go up to a fat guy and say, not to make an argument out of it but you sir have a tremendous amount of bulk. Is that ok? No it isn't. And yes I think everything you are talking about is an opinion, and yes you have a right to them, and you can say them, but it doesn't make it any less rude, and to believe people shouldn't be upset by it is just dumb. People will be upset by it and it will only worsen your image in those people's eyes.
