My First "Restart" Taking Forever

So I've finally made up my mind to restart Luneta. I'm moving Bob and Shari to Pyrena, and the rest of my villagers will be adopted somehow.

I started emptying out my mayor's house and piling my entire inventory on the beach hours ago. This is taking so much longer than I expected...so far I've maxed out the inventory of one of my mules in Pyrena, and I'll probably need at least 3-5 more mules to finish this off, because I have an insane amount of hybrids that need to go to the new town.

It took me over a week to finally make this decision. I finally realized that one of the problems with Luneta is its map, so there was just no hope for it in the end, as much as I loved everything else.

Anyway, I'm realizing how just how time consuming resetting can be when you have a ton of items to transfer. If you've reset your town before, how long did it take you to get everything in order?

When I restarted my town, it still had millions of bells, hundreds of hybrids, and a complete house in it. xD I have no regrets.

Also, unrelated but, could I adopt Butch? I love him so much!

I don't know exactly how many hybrids you have, but maybe you could just give them away or sell them and regrow them or buy some for your new town. You could also do them same with some of your items which you think you can get in your new town. Part of resetting your game is starting from scratch. It isn't as rewarding if you are basically just shipping all of your stuff from one town to another.

Aw good luck sweetheart. I've never reset so I can't really speak for how long it takes. I hope you find a map that speaks to you more.

Dx Ugh, the worst part about moving out.

I ended up just bringing along my rarer items, furniture I couldn't order, two of each hybrid, and all of my bells. It would have taken ages to transfer everything. Even that much took me me two days. I was using my brother's 3DS to transfer, so I'm sure he was wanting it to speed up too ahaha. I was so tempted to just buy another cartridge, make another character on my old town that looked exactly like my mayor, upgrade that house, and done the move to a new town thing halfway through.

Between searching for a new map, going through the tutorial process of a new town and transferring things over, it can take a few days. Then the fun begins!

Sure! If he moves out in the process of me trying to move out Bob and Shari, he's all yours. I'll send you a PM when it happens. It will probably be sometime tomorrow, just a heads up. I plan on restarting tomorrow night.

It took me a total of 4 mules but I got nearly all my hybrids in storage, haha. And the town that will replace Luneta is going to be an all-flower town, so I'm seriously gonna need a ton of them. Even with all the ones i'm transferring, it'll probably still take me a year of breeding them to get the number I need.

I never bother taking anything with me so it makes my life easy but if you need some stuff stored I wouldn't mind holding some of it for you. ^^

I bought a new cartridge, and my bf lent his 3DS, so I just left my gates opens and did lots of trips, filling the closet of the new town.

It still took a lot of time ): I had to stop playing once I did that haha

I'm getting ready to reset my town soon and I am going to hold a big garage sale, I am going to set everything out all over the town and let people come by and grab a bunch of stuff for just a couple tbt then boot them out so I can get more people to get some stuff, some of it is wrapped but I might un wrap them since people will be hovering to find out what things they want, I'm gunna do it so I can gather some TBT for my future dreamies. I just don't want all of my stuff to go to waste and I don't think I need much of it in my other town since they're such different themes, for what I do I'll just pocket log it and then get rid of it.
