I finally did a reset. I was unhappy with my villager placement, my character, my native fruit, and everything in general.

And let me tell you when you reset for the first time.
ITS HARD.
LIKE EXPERT MODE HARD.
I have to register, build my house, TT the next day, place all the bloody designs down to plot reset (and I totally failed at it!)
I had to grab my money out of my bank CONSTANTLY (it was in installments, OH WHY?)
I was merely focused on getting all the shops... Until I thought to myself. How in the world am I going to complete those fashion checks again... And doing 20 fortunes... Catching Isabelle sleeping... Doing a petition for shrunk then getting all his emotions... I swear to god, there's so much to do!
I really need help plot resetting! I have the entire town covered, but the villagers just won't go where I want them to go! (Left top side)
I'm really happy I did the reset, it's just SO LONG AND VERY AGGRAVATING!

Edit: I've nearly spent 6 Hours straight after my reset getting everything going. I already have the Super T&T, Garden center, kicks, shampoodle, already made friends with sable, I got my entire ground and top floor fully expanded... Jesus, what have I been doing this entire time.

I personally prefer getting shops expansions etc. without TT, but I did it in the past and I know how frustrating it can get!
Not to mentions plot reset *shivers*
But it gives a lot of satisfaction!
Good luck with your new town anyway :)

Getting all the expansions for the store is hard... it take me like 2 years without TTing...

Resetting for a town map is so tedious after a while.

In my new town I've put patterns pretty much everywhere where I don't want villagers to move and allocated them a line of spots to form a neighbourhood, and it's working out nicely :)

ohh man, I've never reset my town purely because of this + I've had my town pretty much since the game came out lmao ;o; it would just take so long to get to the point that my town has gotten to now after having it for like 4-5 years haha, I'm just not brave enough to start it all over again even though i really want to at times :'))

good luck with your new town though, i hope it all goes well for you~!! ^^

It took me three months to get all the shop upgrades and with no time-travelling.

At times it is tempting to start over, but thinking about the monumental amount of effort involved, it is just not worth it.
