It is totally random honestly, I got it the day after with mine but some people wait a few days

Yeah I sounds like a good idea, I'm new to AC and never trade a villager online but I'll think of it.

Ok guys, little update, I use 10 tickets today to search for my dreamies, I stumbled across Fauna, Judy, and Audie.
They're not even in my wishlist and people want them so much I felt guilt to let them go, so I choose to invite Audie even if I already have a Peppy that I love (Flora), because I like the grandma story that inspired Audie.
I hope the two girls will be a little bit different in terms of dialogue...

Since I'm new to the franchise I don't really know how trading works exactly... I'll give it a try with Raymond if the glitch is confirmed to be patched !

I feel ya. I wouldn't want any of the super popular villagers either. I am seeing a lot of people with the exact same villagers, it's kinda weird to me. Having Raymond seems basic and boring. Least you can sell for a ton of bells/NMT.

I would definitely give him a good chance before deciding on how you feel about him! He was my first camper too, but I was kind of wanting Marshal instead. I was always interested in Raymond since before release, but I definitely wanted Reneigh and Audie more.

But after having Raymond for a while now, I couldn't bear to let him go! I've really come to love the little guy. When you leave his house and he waves at you with his little fangs poking out...ohmygosh, it's soo cute.

Plus, since there is not currently an amiibo card for Raymond, he will be much harder to ever get back if you end up regretting letting him go.

How so ? lol You have the same chances to stumble across any villager you know.
Here's my story, Deidre and Boots as starters.
Island expeditions first wave : Beau, Gayle, Flora, Tucker, Annalisa, Barold, Nana, Vesta, Caroline => I chose Flora, Tucker and Caroline. Didn't knew Beau was high tier since I just starting knowing things about this game and didn't visited any boards yet, and I already had a deer so I passed even if I find him very cute (I regret a little now but Tucker is cute too and I still want Zucker in my town anyway).
Raymond was the first to show at the campsite so no choice.
And today second Island expeditions wave : Fauna, Anchovy, Cally, Pierce, Judy, Quillson, Paolo, Ozzie, Tank, Mac, Audie => So yeah my bad it was 11 NMT, since I use all my first pack of 10 tickets and just started my second of 7 (all I could afford for the day with my Nook Miles).
But here I am, wanting more than anything Zucker, Kabuki and Coco or other dreamies you can see in my sign. So yeah, luck just depends from which angle you look at it. Just remember not everybody has the same tastes concerning villagers.

Yeah I will give him his chance, I do the same thing for every new villager in my town, maybe I'll get attached, didn't liked Boots at the beginning and now I find him fun. First impression : I don't really like his business man design lol but it seems to fit well the smug personality and I want one of each personality so I'll see...
