Even with time travel it must have taken a long, LONG time to find Redd that many times, not to mention get a genuine different artwork from him each time. This must have taken so much time and effort

You only have to travel ONE day, back and forth. Redd's appearance is fixed, but his inventory isn't, it's random, so if he comes to your town on a Tuesday, you can buy a piece, travel to Wednesday, donate the piece you bought, travel back to Tuesday, and he'll have different art, so you buy another piece, travel to Wednesday, etc. etc....

It took about four hours to get all 43 pieces.

*Edit* I used an online guide so I knew which pieces were real vs. fake.

Nope. You don't get anything except Blather's gratitude! You do earn miles along the way as you donate pieces.

That's way longer than it took us! It helped that my husband and I both play, so on days when he had two genuine pieces we needed, we could get them both.
