My gender balance in my town are more guys than girls and they're all wearing the same shirt and it does not look good particularly since its a heart tee. They are all wearing a pink shirt with a massive heart and as much as that amuses me and cracks me up every time, I'd like to have that changed. I didn't give it to them, they all did it on their own. In the able sisters I changed all the designs to umbreallas so they wouldn't change their shirts but this still happened . _ .

That sort of happened in one of my towns.Seven of my ten villagers were wearing the denim vest.I didn't mind so much but they looked like some kind of weird animal biker gang.I get my villagers to change shirts by sending them at least three copies of the same shirt or at least three shirts I think they might look good in.I sometimes carry a few shirts in my pockets to entice my villagers to try to buy them from me.

I believe if you look up their preferred style for birthday gifts on thonky, they're more likely to wear shirts that match their preferences. Snake wore every shirt I sent him, and I pulled them from that.

Most of my villagers are wearing a custom design I made.
I based the design off of Quicksilver's under armor shirt in Avengers: Age of Ultron; as you can see, I drew a chest line (or whatever you call it) because the armor is skin tight. Gladys is wearing this too... lol.

I always hated them switching to the designs that was there first when the game started. So I just made a simple random stripe tee (which actually came out by accidentally and looked good) and replaced them all.
Is it true if I change them all to umbrellas, they won't pick a design to wear?

It's hard to get a group of villagers together for a screenshot.I had to use a new save file character so he could push the villagers into position without them getting angry and doing the mad dance.I dig holes to keep them from wandering off until I can take a few shots.

Fastest way to have them change their shirt should be this.
Empty your wallet and pocket aside from equipments, uncensored fossils, and have just a shirt which you want them to wear.
Save file once and ping the target villager.
So they ping you to certain percentage, to make an offer of trading/buying the shirt you have.
If they wear it, its done, and if they don't reset.
If this villager has the power (highest friendship in your town), other villagers sometimes starts to wear the same shirt though.

Phil apparently has a very big impression on my town and now almost everyone is wearing his dawn shirt. It's an ok tee but at the same time Whitney changed out of her big bloom top (which I loved) for it and that takes the cake ><
one time, all of my villagers (except fauna... fauna why..) wore the sailor uniform i made (yes, even the males wore skirts muahah) so it look like we were all part of a sailor gang and it was awesomeeee
but then fauna just had to go out and spread her blue bubble tee thing >:^\ so now only like, half of my villagers are part of the gang
