personally, i do want to gently suggest buying from ebay sellers since am*z*n and their ceo are not things i want to support however ultimately i can't dictate what you do, i did see the ebay had better prices and ebay's return policy has been excellent, in my experience!

If nothing else works, change the charging port. If you don't want to do it yourself, you may have someone around you who is able to use a soldering iron. It's not hard to do, just that the part is very small, so it takes a small soldering iron for electronic (that you may borrow from someone). You will also need the Nintendo screwdriver but those usually come with the battery (if you order a new one)update…the charging base arrived, but the 3ds isn’t charging neither
