My 3DS is Being Weird

Sometimes the green '3D' light will just stop glowing for no reason. When I move the screen on the hinge it flickers. The 3D depth slider and the screen itself work just fine, so I'm not worried. Is there a reason for why the light is doing this?
Perhaps it's just wearing out, I bought it in 2011 and it's had some bumpy moments since then.

Seems to be malfunctioning. If it bothers you a lot, you can send it in for repairs.

I hardly ever use the 3D or look at the 3D light itself so it doesn't really bother me. As said before, the screen and 3D depth work just fine, it's just the light.
I did notice that it's more likely to glow when the 3DS is fully charged.

Sounds entirely nonessential to how the 3DS runs then, I wouldn't let it bother you honestly.
