Mushrooms seem scarce

In finding a few mushrooms a day, but I cannot get any of the recipes hope I find some soon

I found 5 yesterday, but so far only 4 today. No recipes except the one from Isabelle.

I got 4 yesterday. 2 skinny and 2 flat. Does the rare mushroom only spawn with a perfect town, or is it just more likely? I've got stuff all on my beach for a friend so it ruins my rating.

You don’t need a perfect town but you get a better chance of it spawning. I’ve gotten one and I’m at 4 stars.

6 mushrooms a day are supposed to sprout around either cedar or non-fruit hardwood trees. You need to make sure you've seen Isabelle's message for the day to ensure the day resets. Granted, I only found 5 on ExIsle today. The news about there possibly being some on mystery islands is encouraging. I guess I'll have to check that out.

Unfortunately I don't think it's true. I've been to about 60 more mystery islands today, and still not found a single mushroom on them. Unless there's a specific island type that can spawn them?

I found about 3 or 4 yesterday, and the same today. I also dug up two of the rare mushrooms (truffles).

I didn't find any on the one I visited.

I know info on mushrooms themselves state that their not found on mystery islands at all.

from what I've heard the rare mushrooms rate is the same as the golden stag, unless you have a 5 star rating, then it goes up to around 10%

Can confirm, I only got 5 including 1 Rare Mushroom that I dug up.

Did the one you dig up take the place of one of your daily fossils? I have my fossils buried behind my museum as I don't want to hunt down fossils anymore but I haven't found any mushrooms buried in the ground.

I have fossils buried behind a cliff for the same reason. I would assume it is safe to say the rare mushroom does not take place of the fossils. I did see a source that Rare Mushrooms have low occurrence.

Thanks for the response and I can also confirm it doesn’t take place of a fossil. I have all my fossils still buried behind the museum and I got a new dig spot today that was a rare mushroom. Took 3 days for one to show up for me so it would make sense for it to be rare.

I've had five mushrooms per day, and gotten a rare mushroom on every one of those days so far.

I've only gotten 1 rare mushroom so far (It's only November 4), and I've maintained my 5-star rating. They say rare mushrooms appear more often when you have 5 stars.

Oh, so it's five mushrooms per day? Nice to know! But I would have preferred to find any of the recipes to actually use those things.
