An online friend playing on a SH Island posted that she found mushrooms on a mystery island.

I went to at least 30 mystery islands today on my villager hunt and I didn’t find any mushrooms. I wasn’t looking for them, but I always shake the trees to find the furniture so I think I would’ve seen a mushroom if they were there.

YEs i am on my 2nd island and nowhere i see have them

I only found 4 today. Most of my trees are surrounded by flowers or paths, so that might be a problem.

Do they respawn throughout the day or only once a day?

The rare mushroom is buried so look for an extra crack in the ground.

Yeah, I only found 4 as well. I decided to do some gardening to rid my island of flowers. Many mushrooms seem to like stumps too so I cut many trees down as well.

I am almost certain I do not have a perfect island rating and I can confirm that a few have shown up for me.

The only thing the island rating affects is the spawn rate for Rare mushrooms but other than that you should be getting 5 mushrooms daily.

Mushrooms appear regardless of rating. The 5 star rating simply increases the chances of getting rare mushrooms (which are buried on the ground like fossils).

Mushrooms only spawn next to regular trees and stumps. Mushrooms don't spawn next to fruit trees.

There should be space around the trees. Custom designs and furniture will prevent mushrooms from spawning.

I believe you can get up to 5 mushrooms popping up a day. And that's if your trees are close enough and don't have anything around them. I found 5 today, but one of them I had dug up. So, I guess it's 5 including 'underground' ones as well.

I got five today I think 2 flat ones, two tall ones and 1 round white one. All of them were above ground I think.

I just TT or wait a couple of days and a ton show up on my island. Probably wait until more appear i'd say.

5 yesterday and today. I cleared the flowers away from my trees last month for acorns and pine cones and there are a few stumps by rocks too so it's been easy to find them.

Five mushrooms yesterday and today. Not sure if it's just coincidence that I found four of the Skinny/Round mushrooms and one Rare/Elegant mushroom yesterday and today, respectively, so I'll wait and see what continues to spawn throughout the month.

I'm having no problems finding lots of mushrooms, but the recipes aren't dropping. Ugh.

I only found 3 mushrooms today, but it was foggy this morning when I was looking so maybe I can find more later. I have 3 diys: the one from Isabelle, the mushroom wand, and forest wallpaper.
