Museum Gift Shop

How do you get the gift shop?
I have over 50 fossils, bugs, and insects, and at least one piece of art in my museum, but do I need at least 20 pieces on every single part? I'm confused.

Your mayor has to talk to Blathers on 14 different days (doesn't have to be consecutive).

Also make sure you have donated at least one of undersea / deep sea creatures. The ones you catch with wetsuit on..
