Museum 2nd floor?

So I donated 20 things into the museum with at least one in each category! When does blathers suggest the gift shop? Is it a public works project? Do I have to wait one day? Please answer!

There was a time where I had to wait a few days for him to suggest the pwp to me. According to wikia though, have you spoken to him on 14 separate days yet? Some people often forget about that tidbit.
