Multiple Towns/Cycle Towns?

A lot of people have multiple towns in ACNL! How is this possible? How do you have these towns used for cycling? Are they on multiple game copies? Do you maintain the same friend code? TY!

You just have to buy more ACNL game cartridges or digital copies to get more towns.Your friend code is particular to your 3DS and not your game cartridges,so you can use the same friend code for each town.A cycling town is just a regular ACNL town that's used for moving villagers in and out quickly using various methods like this: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?152911-Foolproof-Cycling-Method&highlight=fool+proof+cycling

Each individual 2DS/3DS has a Friend Code. Only one town can be saved per cartridge. So if you play multiple games on one console, you'll have the same Friend Code for all of your towns.

I have 3 towns and I have the physical copies. I mainly just switch between them and occasionally take 'breaks' from one (by doing the moving trick) and focus on one or two of them. I don't do cycling. Your friend code stays the same, like they said above, so I usually just tell someone I trade with the name of the town.

I got a second 3DS for christmas so I have two friend codes now, but to make it simpler I plan on doing trading only on my original 3DS and not the new one.

I have extra 3DS and use one just for trading and visitors.
It's my guest town that is ahead of time.

Some are digital and some are physical copies. There is a Number and letters on each cartridge so it's easy to keep track.
