Multiple Ore Rocks?

Something strange just happened. I logged on my game, and started doing my chores, including hitting all the rocks. I had hit all but 1 and still hadn't found the Bell Rock. When I hit the last one, a ruby came out. I hit it multiple times and got an amethyst, 2 rubies, 2 silver ores, a gold ore, and whatever the blue one is (I think sapphire).

So instead of bells coming out of my rock I got ore! How rare is this? When does it happen? Does it happen every day and I've somehow missed it? :X

I've never heard about this before but maybe its already a well-known thing..

I've never heard of that happening either. Maybe you're having a good luck day! May I ask, which shovel did you use? Silver or gold, or just the regular one?

It's a random event that happens if you're using the silver shovel. I had it happen on the first day I got my silver shovel but never since.

I used a silver shovel. That is good to know You said this is an event with the silver shovel- does that mean it does or does not happen with the gold shovel.. hmm.

Either way, it took me by surprise but I was very glad!

This has happened two or three times for me and it hasn't been that long since I got the silver shovel - of course I can't remember exactly when I got it, so this isn't that helpful... But unless I've been very lucky, it isn't that rare.

It's my understanding that this is a special silver shovel thing.

I would also be curious if the gold shovel produces the same results. I've been able to complete two items of the golden series as a result.
