Multiple golden tools?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't seem to find an answer to this anywhere.
Is it possible to get more than one of a golden tool? Will Leif give the player a second golden axe if they buy another 40 saplings, for example?

AH, ok, so it's possible for a more golden slingshots to randomly spawn, but you can't get more of any other tool? Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I was under the impression that only the silver slingshot spawned multiple times, and the golden one was (like all of the other golden tools) a one-time deal.

i seen the gold one like 10 times in my town!

Ah, but how many times have you shot it down? And NOT had it disappear into flowers or paths? How many do you have?

Sorry, I'm not certain, but I thought one was the maximum.

The only way I can think of is making a side character. Once you've purchase the 40 saplings for example and are rewarded with the golden tool. You could drop it on the ground then delete the character and make another one. Repeatedly buying 40 saplings to get more of the same golden tool.

It's only one per character. If you want more, you need to get them from other characters or players.

This. The slingshot however has been sited as being the exception from MULTIPLE people. I've never seen it more than once per character... but I could be wrong. =)
