Hey everyone! I'm thinking about getting a second 3DS for a few reasons, but first I have some questions!

1. If I were to have 2 3DS systems could they both be on the same account (ie. use the same NNID and Credit Card) or do I have to make another account?

2. I already have some games installed (digital copies) on my current 3DS, would this at all cause any issues if my new 3DS came with one of those games preinstalled? I know you can only have one digital copy of a specific game on one 3DS but, can you safely have a separate copy on each system without running into issues? (My current 3DS will not be transferred to the new system).

Any knowledge about these kinds of things would be greatly appreciated, thanks! ^.^

1. Yes, you would have to make another account as it is only one NNID per 3DS

2. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here? You said they're two separate 3DS' with the same digital game? I don't think they would affect each other, but I'm still not sure what you mean by this. You're basically saying "Hey, does this work? It works."

1. You can only have one 3ds/ new 3ds connected to your NNID. If you want to switch systems you would need to call Nintendo and they can do it for you.

2. The digital copies for games have game files saved to that 3ds system. If your game is preinstalled to your new 3ds, your save file on your other system will not be affected at all. If you want to play a preinstalled game on your new system you would need to start the game over though because the system reads that there is no save data on that system.

I hope that helps :)

You can only link 1 3DS and 1 Nintendo WiiU to any one NNID. If you use another 3DS, you'll need another NNID.

I'm not entirely sure. While I'm not sure if game ownership would completely transfer (as the newer 3DS has said game pre-installed) but theoretically, transferring your save files manually should still work. Do note that pre-installed games on a 3DS cannot be transferred to another 3DS - so if you, say, had the Link Between Worlds 3DS [with said game pre-installed] and wanted to transfer to a regular New N3DS, your Link Between Worlds game would not transfer.
