Sorry to bug people with this but I have mind melting query.

I have been playing ACNH on my switch and then my daughter has been playing on the lite with from the same digital copy. We have a family account and im trying to figure out if i can buy another digital copy for her to use so we can play together. It doesn't matter if she has to start over im just very confused as to whether its as simple as her buying her a digital copy throu her user name and then we can play along side each other or whether the accounts cannot be linked to each other at all. If it is do i just delete the old version of animal crossing from her switch the install a new fresh one - This wont affect the save on my switch will it?

So -

Can you have 2 copies on a family account on different users with different islands that can play separately at the same time?
Or Do you need seperate accounts with nintendo online subs?

Finally does nintendo work like Microsoft where if u delete a save on the pc it removes the save from the xbox? I dont want to loose the save on my primary switch.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m not sure about family accounts, do you mean online? In any case, you can download a copy of AC for her lite and she can start over.

I don't think the family plan is one NSO everyone uses but actually every account has it is own NSO, you just buy it in "bulk". I don't have a family plan but I heard that friends buy the plan and can play along each other. But I could be wrong.

Deleting the copy off your daughter's Nintendo Switch shouldn't effect yours, though your daughter will need her own Nintendo Account to have her own copy of ACNH purchased. Save files are saved to the console's memory, it isn't stored on some shared cloud server.

No problem. As for the family plan for NSO, I'm not entirely sure how it works. I would just imagine you add your daughter's Nintendo Account to the plan and she should be able to use NSO on her Lite. Worst case scenario, you'll need to purchase a NSO subscription for her on top of yours.
