Multiplayer connection issues?

Has anyone else been having connection issues with multiplayer while their internet is acting perfectly fine? I'm not sure if it's something that is with the game itself, or if it's an issue with my switch, or if it's an issue with the way my switch connects to the internet...

EDIT: Bumping this because it keeps happening and I have no clue what the cause is.

I do a test connection on my internet on the menu of my switch, it comes out fine.

I can connect to the internet just fine when I speak to Orville. I can choose an island I want to go to, and it's fine. When I take off and begin loading into the other island, I get an error along the lines of this:

"Communication with the host locale has stopped working" with a small photo of Resetti. No error code or anything.

Is there a reason why I can't connect to people's islands sometimes?? I reset my router and reset my switch and it's a temporary fix, but why is this happening when all of my internet connections prior to me trying to land on someone's island tells me it's perfectly fine?

i am! any time someone tries to come over right now it crashes, ive tried 3 times and changed to 2 different wifis

I sometimes have connection issues after answering "who do you want to invite?" - it just freezes and then exits the dialogue. It works after a few tries, though!

What issues are you experiencing?

I connect to the internet fine, and it does the animation of the dodo airlines logo, but then it says "connection to host has been severed" or something like that. Then I end up being sent back to my island.

I made a post about my issue but didn’t get a response.

I (and my wife and kids in the same house with their own Switches) can go to any of my friends islands.

They can all go to our islands.

My sister (who has her own Switch and her own WiFi) can visit any of my friends islands from her house.

They can all visit her island.

My family and I cannot enter my sister’s town and she can’t enter any of ours.

Yet (with an odd exception), we’re able to meet up with my sister on one of our mutual friends islands....

I’m not very techie with routers and every time I google the issue, people can’t connect to ANYONE, not just one person. We don’t even know if it’s my router or hers, either.
