In Lilycove, I have a female mule called Jenny. I picked that name because Jenny was always one of my favorite names; I used to use that name a lot when playing Pokemon.
In my main town, TARDIS, they're called Rory, Amelia and River. What's a TARDIS without the Ponds? In Serenity, one is my best friend of 17 years and the next to be created is my other best friend of the last 5. Fantastic humans and it makes me happy to think of them hanging out with candy-coloured hair, talking to adorable animals. (They both play, too, so they know the addiction.)
I name them after my ancestors. Usually I give them two names, such as MaeBelle, for two of my grandmothers, or the names of children in the family who passed as infants. I don't see it as morbid. I think it is a lovely way to remember, for example, BettyAnn, (who would have been my aunt) as the creepy-looking little mayor of Maeville having fun in her Halloween-themed town. I think she would have loved it. The real mules are great for patterns and experimenting with. I mess with their house decor and clothes and sometimes make them look downright embarrassing.
You could use friends' names, too. I find that naming them after people is fun. And then imagine an image for them and dress or theme them accordingly. I'm actually getting attached to my "mules", tho.
Since my town name is Mordor, I named my storage house character Arwen and I'll be making another one naming him Gollum (to add onto my camping area).
Such great ideas you all have! I have to say I am the most surprised by "television." LOL! That's funny!
For Whovianism, I am an oldster, so the new series is, for me, enjoyable, but I am a Classic fan forever. I'll likely soon go with the originals names as my towns grow. Probably name them Troughton, Pertwee, BillH, and maybe Katerina. Maybe even a Jamie and Zoe, Waterfield, and Ben and Polly. Tho Dodo may have to come first.
Now I am wanting to hurry up and create more mules! Thanks alot, OP...![]()
