I haven't seen a thread about moving villagers out in awhile, so I thought I'd make one! Basically, there's a trick I've been doing that seems to work 100% of the time. I've only tested it with 9 villagers in my town, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with 10. So, let's begin:
[0.] Remember, no one can move out if you have 8 villagers, so if you have 8, move someone in first!
[1.] The first thing you need to do is get someone to ask to move out. This is important! If you want this villager to leave, skip to step [5.] If you do not want that villager to move out, first, deny them. Next, talk to EVERY Villager that you want to stay in your town, including the one that just asked to move! This way, they are able to ping you, and are more likely to stay.
[2.] Now, time travel 6 days ahead. Using today's date, we would go from [7-2-2014] ---> [7-8-2014].
[3.] On this day, someone will want to move out. We need to make sure our wanted villagers stay, correct? So, we go ahead and walk past and talk to all of the wanted villagers again. If one of them asks to move out, deny them and remember to talk to all of your wanted villagers, then repeat step [2.] and [3.].
[4.]If none of our wanted villagers have pinged you, you need to talk to each of them AT LEAST 6 times. One of them is going to mention that another villager wants to leave your town. This is good! Now, go find that villager. If they don't ping you, talk to them once, save and quit, and walk past them. They will ask to move out! If the villager wants to stay, though, turn off your game without saving, then proceed to step [5.]
[5.] Now comes the deciding part. Do you want the villager in boxes? If so, Time Travel 5 days ahead, and they will be ready to move! Or do you want them out right now? Time Travel 6 days ahead and they will be GONE. You did it! You moved out a villager! Yay!
[6A] Let's say you just adopted a villager, and want another out. The day they move in (where their furniture is not quit set up and they won't leave their homes) you want to talk to them once, then Time Travel to the next day. Now you may start from step [1.] again!
This should be it, if something is incorrect or if someone has a question, feel free to comment. Happy moving!
(I am not responsible if you did one of these steps wrong o
