I know! I was thinking about that, a rake would look so good. Can't wait till I get the deer scare DIY to add it to the garden!

I want to do this so badly but its going to take so long!! I already made the area where they are going to go, and even decided on making it 4 rocks instead of 6, but putting mannequins all over my island is going to be exhausting. One day I hope to do it though!
Don't use path over Mannequins. Yes, it takes a bit more effort then placing path but it's far quicker to clean up then paths. FAR QUICKER!
So decided to use part path cause got tired of placing mannequins. I placed a lot of custom path. I thought it would work the same as mannequins. After all the rocks moved. I went into custom design. Changed the color of the design and BAM. All the Mannequins disappeared in a second. Great right. WRONG! The custom path did not disappear. It stayed with the changed color. So now I have to removed every bit of path I placed. It would have been easier to just do all Mannequins.

I tried and eventually gave up because I had tons of traders coming in and my island was a mannequin nightmare. There was no room to move so I just deleted em all

I am in the process of designing my island and I am dreading the moment of i have to relocate all my rocks into one area.

im about to start non-tt rock moving for a dig site area,,, i hate myself but the idea is cute so im doing it!! no take-backs. i do have a question about the mannequin method, do i use a pro design or just a regular pattern???

All the Mannequin and path gave me 5 star. Weird that you got knocked down for it.
I am currently removing all the paths. Never going to do path again. So much time an trouble. I would rather have mannequins and removed them in a second instead of having to removed miles of path. ;P
Worse is removing the path when it's right next to items or flowers. Then removing the item or picking the flowers instead of removing the path. I have had to put back so much fencing and items. Annoying!
My island is almost done, so there's a lot of itens, paths, flowers and trees all around. Because of that, 4 of my rocks ended up in my garden (were I wanted them) naturally, because it's unclutered. No manequins needed. Soon I'll be blowing up the other 2 to see if they spawn there as well
ok but rock garden is so gloriously satisfying once you get it. seriously. i go hang out in my rock garden for fun lol. out of everything though i still think digging up flowers is the most tedious part of this game. if i'm time traveling and let them run amuck... it sucks to clean up after. i have easily spent 5+ hours just digging up flowers i'm just going to bin.

You can use either! Just a warning - make sure it's a pattern you DONT like or just a throwaway pattern, as to delete all the mannequins you'll have to change the pattern, press +, and they will all vanish

I find these rocks a pain. I had all six appear in this area in my island that I had closed off because I planned on building something there. I had to get rid of them all because I just started decorating that particular area....and now I can’t find them. That was pretty much my only open area. And now they hide behind trees and stuff where I can’t see Them.
I think this whole rock manipulation thing looks really cool and I bet it's convenient as heck AND I'm even a glutton for punishment who can see herself doing this, and yet I probably won't. Maybe in a year when I feel like I need another milestone to aim for! In the meantime I am just happy that I finally learned how to hit the bell rock fast enough and without moving to get all of the money bags.

Yeah, rock moving was pretty messy. I used the mannequin method and time travel. It took, I think, three time travelled weeks. I'm currently in the past, so I jumped from 10 through 16 a few times. The mannequin method was the best decision because just changing the design and all of them disappearing definitely made clean up fast and easy.
