so my starting villagers were Charlise and Mac. i hate them so much, they suck. i haven't tt'd since my first NL island so i dont remember the deal, but i loathe these two so much i just want them gone whenever i look at them. how do i get them to go to hell, via tt or other methods ?

Amiibo method. 3 day-wait but a surefire way to boot out villagers!

As far as I know the easiest way to get them to want to move out is to completely ignore them. Everyday talk to every villager except for the one you want to move out, box them in their own little yard with fences so that they can’t move around and interact with other villagers, and just ignore them until they get the little thought bubble that refuses to go away. Don’t go into their house or talk to them at all unless they have the thought bubbles
Some people say it takes 15 or so days for a villager to want to move out, so most people TT 15 days forward to see if they want to move out, but the TTing is completely optional

well i stopped talking to them since day 1 because they're ugly, but i only justo recently boxed them into their houses.
i think im doing something wrong tho, because they seem to get out anyway :^(

tt or amiibo kick outs. there are a ton of tt methods but whenver i'm trying to open up a plot i tt 15 days ahead, look for move out bubbles, then go forward by 2 day increments until someone asks if they didn't already. if someone who you don't want moving out asks, you can say no and repeat the process or you can close your game without saving upon seeing them with a bubble/talking to them about it/not seeing your target with a bubble and TTing ahead a day and searching for a bubble and so on until the villager asking to move is your target. it's worked for me.

also there's been people saying that the game data indicates that ignoring a villager does absolutely nothing and villagers asking to move is complete rng. TTing is your best bet, there's a bunch of methods other than the one i mentioned.

i think the easiest way is TTing 15 days forward, then 1 day at a time until someone wants to move out! ive kicked out three of my villagers with this method c:
the box in method works a little but takes time and sometimes they spawn outside of their fenced house anyway :00

if you find that someone you want to keep wants to leave, go back to the first day and then back to that date and someone else will ask to leave
my "move out" day has been may 11 but my most recent moveout i had to start on may 1 and im currently on may 30 ^^;

sadly i dont have my amiibo card book with me right now and cant go get It because of strict quarantine :^(
Then...you might have to wait and see if you get a campsite villager! They do boot out villagers out ASAP but it's VERY, VERY rng.
The best bet you can do is time travel sadly.

As someone who had to resort to TT because she couldn't stand Claudia anymore (I know they're just little pixel animals, I'm sorry, she just HAD to go) and spent like 5/6 in game months TTing back and forth, I'm almost sure ignoring them does NOT help you, might even be the other way around. I tried completely ignoring her and boxing her while TTing back and forth 1/2 weeks at a time for months, and she never pinged me for anything. Not once. Maybe one exclamation point that one day, but I don't think so. Cherry and Flora on the other hand both asked to move twice.
She "escaped" her box too and upon further research this method is far from fool proof and they can actually spawn out of it so I'm pretty sure it's relatively useless.
In the end I talked to everybody, or most of them, and made sure to talk to her, and she eventually pinged me to move. After what seemed like YEARS.
So yeah. With or without TTing, sadly as of what we know now I think your best weapons are patience and kindness. Don't ignore them, talk to them normally, and hope one day they'll want to move! (Or wait for a visitor in the campsite)

Other than Amiibo cards, there is no sure-fire way to get someone to move out.

The move-outs now are random. Unless you're willing to time travel and just keep doing that until Charlise or Mac move, you'll just have to wait and hope =/

Ahhh I actually love Mac and would love to have him on my island.
lol...
