Moving a villager in?

Hi, so I have Edwin moving out in my game. He pinged me today and said he was leaving on about 4 days. I'm ecstatic. So I put my main game down and started on my cycle town. Felicity is finally in boxes! So now I can go over to my cycle town and pick her up. My question is: Will Edwin still move out on the intended date? Or will Felicity agreeing to move in reset the entering/exiting phase. Edwin is my 9th villager and I am holding him for a trade so I won't be TTing to his move out date.

He'll still move on the date he mentioned. I just did this yesterday, I had Keaton move in as my 10th after Pekoe told me she was moving out.

He'll still move because a villager having 9 or 10 villagers means the same thing to the game, that a villager will ask to move out.
