So I was looking at articles about Splatoon, and then I saw one that said around 70% of Splatoon players use motion controls. I didn't buy anything that article said so I closed that article out. Then I asked some my friends If they used motion controls, and most of them said yes. I then asked, why? They said it was easier to aim with them on. So I want to know what TBT thinks. Do you use motion controls? Feel free to reply to this thread why you use them or not. I want to know what you think of them, and/or why you use them.

At first i hated them, but then i decided to practice in hero mode and with my inkling boy amiibo, and then online
I Just fell in love instantly, since it easier to hit inklings *-*

I don't play Splatoon, but if I had to pick one it'd be Nay, since that seems to be the general consensus... :/

nay.

I've tried using motion controls on several occasions, as I've heard it's easier to splat enemies with it on. It didn't turn out well, to say the least.

Most people do. I imagine there are some like me who prefer it for some weapons, and not for others, odd as that may sound. In other words, I am comfortable with it for brushes and rollers, but not for say the T. Splattershot. I have seen people at A and S rank without it so I do not necessarily believe a lack of motion controls makes you a bad player, though I imagine many people who prefer having it believe they would be far better with it. I don't know.

Yay.

Don't listen to people that say Nay who haven't played the game, since they lack actual experience. People who started testing from the beginning always say to give them a chance, because it's worth it.
I decided to give them a shot, even though I don't think I'm great with this control type. However, it gets much easier as you continue with it, and seems more efficient for most, if not all weapons.

The motion controls are the key to becoming a high-level splatter. They are actually very easy to use and become accustomed to. If you can get the hang of them, you will be able to target other players faster and more accurately than the people not using motion controls.

I don't like them, and I usually love motion controls. Skyward Sword is one of my favorite Zelda games. ANY OTHER game I've played where you can use motion controls to aim, I will use it. But Splatoon's motion controls are so much wonkier than other games. Motion Controls aren't "needed" ever, any why is this the first game people like them? >:|

Honestly, i have never played without them so i have no idea what it is like without motion controls. I think they work perfectly fine though, so i will not be switching anytime soon.

Wait what

I tried not using motion controls once and I just couldn't get used to it, it was so hard, and I kept getting splatted because of it.
After one match, I turned them back on.

Nay

Motion controls with me often makes me aim in directions I am not trying to aim or it just doesn't aim enough in one direction. I also find it very slow to aim as well. I feel I am in more control of my actions with the motion controls off, The motion control is just way too sensitive.

Have you tried turning down the camera sensitivity?

Yay
I suck so bad without motion controls... I can't even play without them. I can only aim quickly with them on. :P
