MOTHER 3/EarthBound 2

I recently started playing MOTHER 3, and I fell in love with it. I can't believe I've been missing out on this! Now I need to play EarthBound and MOTHER (EarthBound 0)... COME TO VIRTUAL CONSOLE ALREADY, DAMMIT!! =P

Anyway, discuss MOTHER 3/EarthBound 2 here. ^_^

i've played through mother 3 - my main complaint is that the world of the game seems too small.

perhaps this is because it was made for the GBA, or maybe i'm just too tied to earthbound/mother 2 having obsessed over it for the past 13 years. i DO like the humor and improved battle system of mother 3, however.

i will say that mother 3 is muuuuch darker than earthbound, and i wasn't prepared to feel certain emotions while playing through the game. i have to say i prefer earthbound in terms of mood as well.

I wasn't expecting it to be so emotional, either. When Hinawa...well, I'm not gonna post any spoilers, but you know what I'm talking about. Yeah, that almost made me cry. If only I hadn't spoiled the ending before Brawl came out... Oh, well, everything else will be a surprise to me. I'm only in Chapter 2 right now.

There's a wonderful (but illegal) thing called a ROM that we're not allowed to talk about on this site.

Edit: I don't support the use of ROMs, but in MOTHER 3's case, I'll let it slide. I've been waiting to play MOTHER 3 in English forever. I'm gonna play EarthBound legally on Virtual Console, though. I don't know about MOTHER...

I knew that. I learned that back before Brawl came out, when everyone was predicting who would be in and stuff. A lot of people wanted Claus in, so I looked him up. And...spoilers. =P
