IT'S RELEASING TODAY I THINK

It made me happy that they're FINALLY releasing Mother 1.

....Now where's that Mother 3, Nintendo?

This is great news! I've been wanting to play Earthbound for the longest time, though I would've preferred it on a handheld rather than home console.

amazing. I love how theyve added so much awesome stuff to viritual console. I don't think its been easy for them or else we would have had all these games at the beginning.

It took me by COMPLETE SURPRISE. Out of nowhere. I screeched.

Also, this has me the most hopeful for E3 Mother 3 virtual console announcement/release than any year before. I'M ON MY KNEES.

Isn't that game very difficult because it forces you to grind levels and levels with its tough foes, absurd encounter rate, the lack of reviving item and less forgiving dungeon design? An average TBT player (assuming they never played a tough game before) would be most likely putting down the controller after playing for a while.

At least, that's what I heard among peoples who played Earthbound Zero/MOTHER 1. Unless Earthbound Beginnings uses something like Easy Ring from Tomato's patch, which render the game much more enjoyable to anyone.

Luckily, I know for sure that the Virtual Console version supports one savestate slot. If you're a pro on using this feature, this should help you make your journey a more feasible by giving yourself another roll against the RNG when facing pretty tough battles.

I've never played it, but that's what I've heard which is why I've been put off playing it (although I've played and finished Earthbound and Mother 2), but I do want to try it now it's on Virtual Console. I'm super hyped, I'm surprised that MOTHER of all series is getting mentioned, let alone a release

I'll still take Mother 1. It just means that they're finally putting the effort into bringing unreleased games to the West. This is hope not only for Mother 3 but many other Japan exclusive past games as well.

True, which could lead to a M3 release!

To be honest it would be a bit strange if they just released m3 out of the blue. Hopefully the entire reason why they released m1 now was so that we could play it and gain a better understanding about the franchise/storyline so that m3 wouldn't be a complete and utter mind****
