Most popular/unpopular villager species?

Popular:Squirrels,Horses,Rabbits,deer, cats , small bears and some sheep
Unpopular: Chickens, pigs, cows , hippos, big bears.
I think that if a villager is more unique (eg. Julian, Pietro,Lucky, and the food themed villagers)
Or more cute (marshal, lolly ect ) it's more popular. Characters like that are more pleasing and more people want them. Also a cute fluffy squirrel , will do a lot better than a bear a bear with huge eyebrows and no eyes.
If Merangue Wasn't cake themed i don't personally think she'd be as popular.

It seems like every eagle except Apollo is down in tier 5, I don't know why, I think they look cool myself but I feel like very few agree.

I'm a bit surprised people say ducks because of how popular Molly is. I guess she's the exception to the rule though.

I feel like they did a poor job at making cuter rhinos, pigs and gorillas. Merengue is proof that even if a particular animal species isn't a fan favorite, a villager can be if they look cute/unique.

Deer, Octopi, and Wolves both have no villagers in tiers 4 or 5
Bulls/Cows,Monkeys and Gorillas are all in tier 5

I'd say that everyone likes cats, wolves, deer, and octopi.

The lions, gorillas, pigs, and hippos aren't very popular, at least in my opinion.

I happen to like the lions,pigs,hippos,rhinos....and yes,even a gorilla or two.It's quite an overstatement to say that "no one really cares about them".Sure,they're not nearly as popular as the other species you mentioned but that doesn't make them any less enjoyable.

I'm not at all offended and you should not change your post.It's just that in a game as popular as ACNL,other people are bound to like things that you don't like,that's all.

I don't think any of think species are all bad honestly. The gorillas have Hans, the pigs have Agnes, the chickens have Ken, the bulls have Rodeo, and the mice have Limberg and Chadder.

As far as I know, octopus and squirrels are the most popular.
And the least, gorillas and big bears.
