Suckerfish because it trolls you. Oh. You thought it was a shark? Sucker! I miss the huge fish shadows from the gamecube game. It made it easier to distinguish the crap tier fish from the rare ones.
I think we can all agree that the public enemy #1 is the sea bass, with the black bass following it by a tiny margin. I can't count how many times I thought a fish was a coelacanth or an oarfish only to fish yet another sea bass. Same goes for the black bass and the dorado.
Unlike most people, I don't have the sea bass or horse mackerel, I simply don't care much about them lol. For me the worst fishes up to now are the Mahi mahi, the blue marlin and the golden trout, since I spent countless amounts of fish bait the get them. Up to now, only one mahi-mahi and one golden trout in my life. The blue marlin decided to make fun of me by appearing 4 times the same day (the fishing tourney day= after being a pain in the ass to get for the first time. 
It has to be the bass family. I dislike it simply because of the depiction of their size when fishing. If they made the bass family significantly smaller where you can easily tell the difference between one of the bass versus one of the bigger fishes, I wouldn't mind them at all. The thought of potentially fishing something big and only getting this a bass is annoying. They also need to introduce more sayings when catching them to help soften the blow.

Honestly, I don't really mind the garbage fish...because, I generally avoid fishing those shadows anyway. After I know that I have all of the seasonal fish donated to the museum, I only fish the valuable ones after that...and I can tell the exact shape and size of the valuable fish, so I rarely catch the ones that are obvious seabass, mackerel, etc. The only one that consistently fools me is the sucker fish...and the occasional squid when I think it might be a knifejaw.

Tbh I dislike seahorses the most. Whenever I use fish bait, it seems to always spawn small shadows which inevitably lead to seahorses... I'm always tempted to run at the shadow but don't want to waste my fish bait lol

Honestly at this point I kinda like the sea bass. I see a big shadow, know it's probably a sea bass, fish it up anyway and oh hello there once again old friend. Don't like the olive flounders though, they ruin me being able to know it's a sea bass
I don't like dabs and squid. They're worth like nothing and they would constantly show up when I wanted some barred knifejaws for a quick bell. Crucian carp and carp are ugly too
