Im making a studio ghibli-inspired forest town! I lve the scenery in ghibli films and i want to make my town embody that a little bit, and im looking for some more ideas! And even ideas for interior, and especially my house exterior. Here are some photos that i like:
I especially love kikis house, i wish you could have a moss house exterior does anyone know what roof/door ect i should get? and i am planning on making a greenhouse room like that, does anyone have any ideas for it? And ive decided on using clover paths, with lots of mushrooms scattered around, and bushes lining the paths, i think blue hydrangeas? I will definitely have a bus stop, like in totoro. And i dont know what types of flowers to use either, any suggestions? Thank you so much! xo i appreciate the help
I'd say that Chops' appearance was probably inspired by Porco Rosso.Too bad he doesn't come with the pilot's cap and goggles.Maybe you could get the pilot's stuff from Boomer's house and do a Porco Rosso theme with Chops.
You could combine pieces from the zen exterior with green pieces (and then put a lot of greenery around your house) and maybe it would look a bit reminiscent of that house... though it's not really the same.
For villagers, I agree with the recommendation to get Chops and I'd also suggest Kiki
As for villagers: Chops if you can handle his creepiness, Drago for Haku, Kiki for Jiji is an obvious must, Whitney for Moro, Flurry for the chubby white mouse from spirited away (or you could go with Dora who's an actual mouse), Tabby for Catbus, and Kabuki, and maybe Coco and because they fit in.
You definitely want the bus stop pwp and the fairy tale pwps because they look a lot like the buildings in Spirited Away. Definitely a bathhouse, Yubaba's office, her baby's playroom, a bedroom, and maybe a boiler room in the basement. I think a large forest area would be good too. Maybe you could do only one cobblestone bridge, for the little bridge in Spirited away that crossed over the river.
